About Me

First, if you're looking for it, here's my résumé.

As a kid, I was always drawing, writing, making flip books and videos, animating in Mario Paint, and generally trying to be creative and I try to maintain that child-like optimism and curiosity in creating and having fun. My hobbies include running, cycling, gaming, music, and hiking. I love philosophy, history, economics, scotch and hard cider, Mexican and Thai food, and just hanging out with my dog watching the YouTubes or playing PS4.

I went to school at the Columbus College of Art & Design in Ohio where I earned a BFA in their media studies program. Essentially, they taught me about fundamentals and work ethic until we honed in on photography, videography, film, animation (2 & 3D), motion graphics, and interactive design. Those were the days of Macromedia Director and Future Splash, which Macromedia had just bought and renamed Flash.

As I was heading toward graduation, Napster, eBay, and techno-bedded flash sites were all the rage. Pixel fonts were the new hotness. Strongbad was a thing. Moby and Fatboy Slim were playing in the clubs and I was all about The Silver Jews, Cat Power, Pavement, Modest Mouse, and The Pixies. It took me 3 months to find a job after I graduated and that was with an online education startup. I was their first employee. I did their logo and branding. I helped establish a style and format for educational presentations and testing. From there, I went to the first advertising agency I ever worked.

After that, I went to another traditional shop and helped grow their capabilities with digital expertise in Flash, video, web design, and production. When I realized people don't have to live in cold climates, I prepared my book and looked south and westward. That lead me to Atlanta. I went to my first digital boutique, then freelanced at The Weather Channel, over to 22Squared, then Moxie, then Razorfish which was like 3 companies 4 years with some merger action, and ending up at Under Armour.

I’m always seeking hands on opportunities for generating amazing creative in the digital space.
